Default Cutting my 2Bros Carbon pipe...help?

So from what I have read, this is my process...

1. drill out rivets off the end cap
2. remove end cap.
3. Measure where i want to cut it
4. cut stright through, with tape on pipe around the cut
5. put endcap back on
6. re-drill new rivet holes
7. rivet the end cap back on

is it really that simple?

I feel like just sawing through it seems to simple, or am i thinking too much.

any input would be awesome, thanks.
