Default finished cutting pipe (pics)

So I cut 6 1/2" out of the trs yesterday and everything went pretty good. I followed Sick's tutorial for the most part. I don't understand though why he did it in two cuts because it can be done in one. Cutting is the toughest part so one less cut is nice. Drilling the new holes through the stainless steel for the rivets was pretty much impossible with the regular drill bit so I bought a 3/16" cobalt bit and it was butter. Definitely worth the $8. Anyway heres some pics

I used a slot screw driver to bend the edges a bit after I drilled out the rivets just make the cap slide off easier. It was still pretty tough though

Not including the inlet and outlet the can itself is 12". Total time was probably around 4 hours. The cutting took the longest with a hack saw. I for sure would have used a sawzall with a metal blade but it was at work.

Pipe sounds unreal! Only rev'ed to 7k but still significantly more throaty then pre cut. Definitely worth the time to do it.
