Question cutting carbon fibre....

hey all,

got a carbon fibre tank protector today, its real carbon but doesn't fit properly and i need to cut it down a bit. will this leave a feathered edge? and im worried about cracking the epoxy coating... any ideas?

thanks all,

well... i got impatient lol

i did it, taped both sides where i was going to cut and with a bloody sharp blade i went for it. no cracks or obvious signs of an edge ill just buy some clear resin tomorrow and re-apply to the new edge. it was only thin 1 -1.5mm carbonfibre though so it cut quite well.
