Crash caused by ebay levers dont cheap out!
i couldn't be more happy with mine. they work great. 10,000 miles. i'm completely satisfied with them. i don't think they're cheapily built either and they fit great
but, the sellers have been known to mistakenly ship out the levers for the wrong model

They are just like chinese HID's 99% of them look and work great, but there are a couple that cause problems whether they be manufacturer or installer error.
To the OP No one was jumping down your throat, Alot of people come on here and blame products for installing them incorrectly.
I was just stating were the install could have gone wrong.

As for 2Wheels - supplier
Reliable, levers arrive in special cloth bags .
Good quality - fitted a set to a 2012 R6, and 1990 1000F. No problems in either case.
They have adjusters on both levers.
Good seller, Come in a great range of colors.
Maybe the problem was a machining error, but it's always good to know where there could be a potential problem.
I think they sent you the wrong levers for your bike - just my personal impression.

i'll assume the 954 is the same way, but there is a small pin in my brake lever that has an indentation for the master cylinder pin to set in. if that part is not lined up correctly when you put the brake lever on, it will definitely mess with the operation of the unit. the chinese parts don't usually come with readable instructions (if any) so this is an aspect that would be easy to miss.
Ive had a pair of black levers from a chinese company for a year now. The stupid clutch lever broke while i was installing it so they sent me a new one (after much poorly translated discussion and a bad review threatening their reputation). Never had an issue with performance though. Kind of scary to read about someone else having a horrible experience like that after installing new levers...
Sorry to say this but someone that knows what they were doing would've realized something was wrong before pointing a finger at an eBay seller. You are as much to blame as they are for 2 simple reasons...
1- you decided to put a cheap product on your braking system (not a good idea)
2- you might have overlooked how to properly install/adjust the brake lever.
Just my honest opinion. No offense intended, just common sense.

Go on amazon and get them. That's where I got my adjustable aluminum levers. They were like 45 bucks and I think they look and work great. I think the store was excell store front on the amazon website
Hi,
sorry to hear about your incident and glad you are ok. As per earlier post it would seem that that slight pressure on the system caused the problem not the lever itself, just the tolerances. A good post to make others aware of the issue.
I fitted chinese adjustable shorties to my 1F and my sons race bike (Triumph 675) and have not had any problems in the year we have used them - and the race bike really uses it brakes. For the 1F I think they are far more comfortable and quicker than the stock items, but I have kept them just in case.
