Crankcase?

I've got a 1994 CBR 900rr. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows what the crankcase is made of? is it aluminum or something else? Need to know what kind of welder to find to repair the mounting ear. Thanks!

Try and stick a magnet to it, if it doesn't stick it's aluminum, if it does it's a steel block. I'm pretty sure it's going to be aluminum though, but I'm not sure about your frame....
