Default Cracked Oil pan....

Well..my friend was changing my oil for me..and he somehow managed to crack my oil pan by tightening the drain bolt too much...anyways..I just picked up a salvaged oil pan and I was wondering if all I'm lookin at here, is simply take out the bolts and screws from my damaged oil pan..and just screw in my new one..I hope its this easy..if not..someone please tell me otherwise ^_^ Thanks

Not sure what type of bike you have but probably your exhaust will be in the way. The oil pickup runs down into the pan so you have to drop the pan down enough to clear the pickup. Not a big deal to unbolt the exhaust. Should take about an hour to do the swap if you take your time and be careful. Buy some high temp gasket maker at the parts store to spread around the new oil pan before you install.

I came across another question for anyone who had the Clymers manuel for a 95 cbr f3 600. Would someone be able to give me the torque specs for the oil pan screws? Thanks, it'd help alot.

just tighten them down good and snug. dont sweat it, it wont leak if you put the gasket maker on and tighten all the bolts good and tight.
