Clutch will not dis-engage
94 cBR 600 F2 clutch will not return on its own.
i can ride the bike and carefully force it out, but it feels like there is no return spring.
Are the springs gummed up and need replaced?
I replaced the cable thinking that it might be gummy.
TIA,
D

There is a return spring, which could be R/S, (did you check that when you replaced the cable?) but check the retaining bolt next to it, could be loose.
Where there any other symptoms with your clutch before this happened (slip or drag etc).

The little external spring is intact and functional, the bike sat for a few months ~4 so maybe that had something to do with it.
I'm going to open it up and take a look, i was just wanting so input as to what to expect.

When you pull it apart look at the clutch basket very carefully, more specifically the edges of the tangs, if they're grooved replace the basket, same with the inner hub.
They shouldn't look like this...

This can cause the plates to hang-up and not release smoothly.
