Default clutch problems???

Hi all, i have 99 model CBR 900RR. Just recently i have some problems with the bike not going above 120kmph. When i twist the throttle the revs go up and the bike screams so to speak but that is not translated into more power as it should. What could be causing this and what is the solution? I am not much of a tech guy so thats why i am sweating over this. Hope you all can help.

Either clutch cable is out of adjustment, or the clutch is going it sounds like. Doa little searching here, there should be some writeups on clutch adjustment, and even replacement. Both are pretty easy to do if you have some mechanical ability. If not i can write something up later if you dont find it.

+1 Teeks.
Have a look through the 'how to's and there should be one dealing with clutch adjustment/replacement.
Or download the manual for your bike from my siggy, and read up on it.
Bike clutches(wet type) are pretty similar................

www.stephygee.com you can download your manual there. but clutch adjustments on the cable can be made at 2 places eithe ron the handle bar end or where the cable connects to the clip that goes into the clutch case.
