Default Clutch problem

Hello Im new to this forum. I have an 93 cbr 900 rr on which I replaced the clutch. I did everything in order and now clutch is not engaging when I put it in gear, bike just dies. Not sure if I installed the judder spring in the correct way, It is bowl side in first. Not sure if thats correct. Clutch lifter piece has about half inch of play when I push it in and out. I really dont know why clutch is not working when I pull the lever and shift into first gear bike dies immediatelly. Please help if anyone can...

when you try to put it into gear does it just die or does the bike jolt or lurch and die. Can you describe it, I had the same issue and for some crazy reason I fixed it by taking the cover off again and putting it back on. I guess the lifter hadn't seated on the pin well. Other than that are you sure you have adjusted the clutch cable properly?

A buddy of mine had a similar problem after 6 hours in the garage we realized the push rod wasnt in all the way i had to move the tranny around until the pin pushed into place try that or maybe you flipped the pusher? if you dont have a lot of motorcycle mechanics skills take it to a shop but try and figure it out the best you can good luck
