i just broke off one of the damn studs for 1 of the 5 springs in the clutch, now it has 4. is the damage detrimental or do you think it would still work this 929rr is my main way to get around , i broke it during an ovehaul and i did all get except for not buying the actual tool to seize the clutch. anyways can some one get back to me. you think there will be enough friction off the line and at all times to not burn out the friction plates?? i just dont have the money right now to get a new clutch basket

I would not use it. Your running a few risks. One, it will warp your discs as there will not be even pressure. It will be out of ballance. This may not cause any issues, but it could. The 929's clutch is already known for being weak and prone to failure as it is.
The most important one. It may put uneven pressure on the rest of the components that are there and you could have a failure. Ive heard horror stories of clutch failures and it usually ends with the clutch coming apart and going into your foot.
I would wait until I got the money for a new basket. Ebay usually has decent used ones for a decent price.
