Default clicking in the crank case?

This problem just started after I put the APE manual cam chain tensioner on my F4i. I tightened it just a little after I couldn't hear the rattle sound anymore but I noticed that it sounds like the compression is higher because when I start it the starter chugs a little more then usual and when I rev it the revs sound more responsive but it sounds like a little electric power tool inside with a high pitch air tool noise or something and when I shut it off I feel like the motor cuts out way quicker if that makes sense.

anyway today I was in the city and cruising in 4th gear when I let off the gas and pulled in the clutch to slow down the bike shut off. I glided it in to the closets parking lot and it started up again no problem and rode home just fine.
when I got home I was idling down my drive way with out the gas and my exhaust sounded really low ( idle ). I got off by the garage and listened for this clanking I was hearing and it is coming from the right rear set on the back of the crank case where the oil fill cap is. sounds like a small metal wrench tapping. I could also feel in both right and left rear sets when I was riding and had the bike at the RPM where it would not accelerate but not slow down from the engine braking and I could feel in both me feet a small clicking.

I did an oil change the same day I did the tensioner using rotella 5W40syn with a K&N filter.

I know it's a real pain to do, but I'd recommend removing valvecover and adjusting tension per APE's specs (3/8" slack). Adjusting by ear is just asking for trouble.

I will try that tonight. would you say that sound is indeed from the new tensioner not being adjusted right?

I would like to put new spark plugs in when I do this but if anyone read my recent post about my exhaust color I would be nervous to mess them up right away before tuning it correctly. Valves too!

I wish I could just know every little thing that needs to be tuned and replaced so I could do it all at once and not worry about what will happen once this is fixed.

I'm very meticulous and I always have that in the back of my mind when riding thinking about what my motor is doing inside and how certain parts are working together.

Guess I should just buy a new bike and do all the maintenance and tuning my self from day 1 so I know exactly whats going on haha
