I installed my K & M air filter about 15-16K miles ago. Have not cleaned it yet. Is it time? I know the filter came with instructions, but I lost the instructions.

It's probably time. They say the dirtier it gets the better it works (which is true to a certain extent). It will trap more crap when it's already full of crap, but it's hurting air flow to do it. It's probably time to do it. I do mine once a year or so.........usually put on 10-12k per year so, that's about how often I clean mine.

 

I can't give you any specific instructions ( you can probably find them somewhere online). I did read that it's important that you don't blow it out with compressed air though. I guess you could cause damage to the fiber. Thats about all I know.
