They are the outer edges of your tires that unless you ride at a track and dont put street miles on, will eventually be there. Some people think having the center wear faster than the outside, somehow makes you a poor rider or "chicken" for not getting the bike over as far as they think would be acceptible. It doesnt mean ****. I've had "chicken" stripes before and will take em to the track and show some pin head how to ride. I also commute on the same bike, so you are bound to have the center wear out faster. Anyway, that's what they are, and why people make fun of them. Must make them feel superior or something.

I have em but they are getting thinner. Trying to lean alittle more every time I ride. I just don't know how far you can lean before the back end comes around. I have Metzler M3's and I don't know if it's soft enough to lean over all the way.

LOL........when they are heated up and the road is clean....they'll stick ALL the way to the edge, and a little over. I recommend the track for this kind of act.......but some people prefer the road for some reason. ????
