Default changin the carbs

1990 cbr 600. where to start. got the motor on a go kart. exhaust is conciderably shorter than stock and im not running an airbox. ive tried shimming the needles to make it run a little richer but to no avail. so ive been thinking about it and the best route it can think of (rather than throw money at a jet kit for carbs that arent gonna work properly anyway) is get diffrent carbs. ive got a 72 yamaha rd350 2stroke. ive found sets of carbs and jet kits for them pretty darn cheap and they flow for 25 extra cc's a cylinder so... im wondering, if the 600 has a redline of 12000 and the 350 has a redline of 8500. will the 600 drop off on the top end? if it works it should help out my low end power a good bit and have nice crisp throttle response through the rpm range.

I Would Think Sticking With Your Stock Carbs Would Be The Best Route And Jetting Them Like Above Said There's Just To Many Variables Switching Carbs From Something Totally Different.
