I have 05 CBR 600, when letting off & getting back on the throttle, I feel like a slack or space in the gearing. What is this . I keep chain tight and still get it. Is it the cct or maybe some thing else. ??? Where is cct located on 05 RR. I don't have a full maintence manual yet

 

How tight? There is supposed to be some slack in the chain -- keeps it from snapping as the swingarm pivots up when you hit bumps or are hauling **** around a curve.

As far a lash goes, there's some built into the drivetrain -- just like in a car. You can put it in first with the ignition off and roll it a few inches forward and backward. That's normal.

Checked out your pics. I take it you like the 2Bros exhausts. I am looking at that for my 600 RR. How do they sound.

 

You want between 20 - 30mm of chain slack midway between the front and rear sprockets measured at the bottom of the swingarm.

 

Ya, love the 2Bros -- loud, low rumble off idle and sounds like a pissed off hornet at speed

 

Does your 2BROS sound better than a yosh, also looked at that RS-5 w/carbonfiber cone. Noy sure which would sound better
