Default RE: CHAIN QUESTION

Chain fitment depends on these things:

1. Wheelbase
2. Chain size (520, 525, 530)
3.Front and rear sprocket size
4. Number of links in the chain.

If each of these aspects is identical between these two bikes then yes, the chain will fit. However, its very unlikely that this is the case.

Why? What could you do with a 600rr chain on a 900rr? I hope your not using a used one because normally most people just buy a new chain and sprocket kit when replacing the chain.

This area is for HOW-TO posts only... and by "How-to", that's not "How do I do this?" questions, it's "This is how you do this" posts. Please read the sticky at the top. Questions should be posted in the "General Tech" forums.

But don't all bikes have "used chains" on them, except for the ones on the showroom floor?
