Default CBR600RR-Yoshimura RS5 slip on exhaust?

Hey,

First time Post BTW. Thanks for having me.

I am new to the world of EFI and remapping when adding exhausts. I just purchased a Yoshimura RS5 slip on that will be here tomorrow. Looks easy enough to install myself except for remapping. The nearest dyno shop is two hours away. Will this bike even run w/o being remapped or is remapping for this exhaust just for "peak" performance.

No other engine mods. at this point. Thanks

Larry

I did a little search and found that it should run fine but it may run a lil rich till I get a PCIII. Is this correct?

I run the same slip on. No PCIII, just stock motor. Runs fine. Sounds a hell of a lot better too.

I have an RS-5 on my 1000RR with no PCIII and it runs like a champ. To get the most out of it you'll want to re-map the ignition, but it's definitely not required, nor does it hurt anything to go without.
