CBR600 f4 1999, carb slider spring length variance
I recently discovered the last guy installed a slider spring in a way that caused it to shatter. I have searched harrrrd to find a replacement but can't seem to find a matching 6'' spring to fit. I am considering buying a set of 5.5'' springs to replace them but am concerned about their effect on air/fuel flow, and have no desire to go down the rejetting wormhole. Quicker throttle response is fine w me, but I also want the bike to breath properly.
Does anyone have experience modifying compression spring length/tension? I have found a few posts with mixed testimonies. Would such an alteration in length have an outsized or perceptible influence on performance and fuel/air delivery? Any advice appreciated.
