So my battery wasn't charging at all so took my bike in to get a new regulator rectifier fitted. Now its running fine, but sounds literally twice as loud, even when idling its way more thumpy.
Also when say I'm up at 30mph or whatever and let off the throttle I can hear some kind of pops and crackles from up front/engine area, not the exhaust.
Anyone got any ideas what's going on?
Cheers

Very odd. Sounds you describe goes along with changes in exhaust. Regulator shouldn’t change exhaust sounds. Perhaps vacuum hose got disconnected in process. Make sure sll components of PAIR system is connected and working properly. Its purpose is to inject extra air into exhaust when you let up so rich mixtures continue to burn in exhaust. The pops are due to that extra fuel not burning until it reaches end of muffler and hits fresh air. Then >boom< it all burns up quickly.
