I am starting a project rebuilding my smashed 92 CBR F2. It took some major front end damage and bent the forks and wheel badly, cracked the radiator filler etc ... I took it to my local shop where they went through the whole thing and gave me a good labor bid, but way too expensive for parts. The frame and steering stem are NOT bent. So I'm looking around Ebay and Craiglist.


Question, Does anyone know what front ends will fit. If I buy a complete triple tree, fork set up from a newer RR model or F4i would it adapt to the steering stem or am I limited to F2, F3 components? Also will all F3 parts work?

I'm just trying to figure out if the steering neck stem on the frame is fairly standard or model specific.

If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the input.

I dont know for sure, but I think if you can find a bike that has a front end you desire, in some cases you can press the steering stem out of the F2 triple, and put it in the new bike's triples to make everything bolt right up with little to no effort.
