I got a vortex 15 tooth front for like $20 online somwhere. Yes you can still use the same chain and you don;t even have to break loose the rear to do the switch, just to tighten it after the instal. it's super easy too like 20 minutes total. i did a write up on it in the How to section...

definately worth the time, and your speedo will be off varying amounts based on your speed, its a percentage, not a set number. i do recommend a speedo healer, if only for the correction of your odometer.

I dont recommend just changing out the one sprocket. Really need to change both sprockets and chain as a set. Dont be cheap on those, it will just come back to bite you later on.

playful, my bike is a leftover 06, so its only got 3,000 miles on the chain and sprockets, im thinking its ok to get just a sprocket, since the chain is still so new. as you can tell from my post im trying not to break the bank.

is the amount the speedo will be off as simple a calculation as taking the 15 vs 16 and dividing? which would be 6.25% off? is that anywheres near correct? or is it way more?

does anyone have any site recommendations as to where to get the sprocket and flushies?
