cbr 600f ignition failure...
g'day
i am new to the forums and hope u guys can help me out.
i have a cbr 600f 92' model. in the last few weeks every now and then the bike all of sudden dies (whether it be at 100kms or stopped at the lights), i know its an electrical problem. however the dash lights still stay on as well as the headlight. sometimes the starter mtor wont work at all when i try to restart it... eventually it works. i am leaning towards it could be an ignition problem, somewhere between the lead or a dodgey connection somewhere... im not sure where to start looking? any ideas?
cheers tom

My GS500 was doing that yesterday. It was the kickstand switch. The wires weren't connected well. It has been a while on the F2/F3 models, I am having trouble thinking of anything else. If it cuts power to the starter and only dies when it's in gear it sounds like the kickstand switch.
