Default CBR 600F (2008) Accessory Wiring

Hi all,

I'm new to motorbiking (passed my big test last week). I've recently bought a CBR 600 F(2008) model and want to install a few accessories, heated grips, quad lock charger etc. I've read it's best not to do it direct to the battery as it will drain it if left on (I'm awful at remembering to turn things off), and I'd be better wiring into the ACC positive wire. I've been googling and researching but can't find where this is or the best place to access it.

This is what I've bought from Amazon and would like to install -
Amazon Amazon

Any advice appreciated

Thanks,
Kirstie

Best to wire power supply directly to battery to prevent overpowering existing wiring.

Then connect relay’s activation line to ignition-switch key ON power. Then accessory power will only be active when bike is ON.

That's great thanks. How do I work out which cable that is. Ideally need it near the battery as the cables aren't too long.

Did kit come with instructions? post link or upload them to google drive and post sharing link here.

Usually battery & ground wires are thicker with ring-terminals to bolt onto battery. Turn-ON relay activation can connect to red/blk wire leaving ignition-switch to power fuse-box. Can tap into that wire anywhere along way.

Sadly no instructions. It’s clear which cables go to the battery and which is the ACC, just unsure where to locate the best cable on the bike to attach the ACC cable. Also unsure what the additional black and red cable is for or if it’s needed.

See photo of of parts supplied.

Extra wires not needed.

Connect small red activation cable to ignition-switch red/blk cable. Look for it entering fuse-box. Measure it there to be sure it’s only ON when key is ON.
