Default CBR 600 F3 Parts - UK

Hi all,

Just bought my first bike - CBR 600 F3 and I am in need of a few parts for it, didn't know if any of you out there had an idea in where to go for them in the UK ?

At the moment I need :
  • Seat
  • Master Brake Cylinder
  • Gauges - ideally digital from the F4
  • Foot pegs - I persume these are universal ?
  • Radiator
  • Hand grips - going to buy new ones
  • Engine casings

Your help and co-operation would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing the responses !

Many thanks,

Toby

Start on e-Bay for the seat. You should be able to get one for about $50 US or 30 UKP. A new cover is an option too, unless your foam is shot. Pricing appears to be about the same. Gauges for the F4i are found on e-Bay but the market has driven the prices upwards of $120 US/ 75 UKP. Pegs and levers are sold at low, low retail from the China Inc. anodizers. Quality is simply fine and the price is 30% of what you'd expect to pay. You will find those retailers on e-Bay and on the China Inc. Stink sites like DealXtreme.

The rad will require a trip to the breakers/motorcycle salvage yard. Casings are SPENDY and you may choose instead to Bondo and paint scratched cases back to looking nice.

Thanks for the reply, sorry I havn't got back sooner, been mega busy with work and tinkering with the bike !

I have managed to sort all the parts out so we are all good.

Came across a problem the other day, was getting on with fitting the gauges ( decided to keep the F3 ones ), however... as I bought the bike as a 'project', there is no bracket to mount the gauges to. SO, if I was to buy an aftermarket set, what is the best way to fit them please? Bearing in mind the bike is a streetfighter!

Thanks in advance !

Easiest way would probably be to fabricate your own mount using some flat aluminum stock from a hardware store. If you get an aftermarket gauge set, go with a smaller, more digital set and it can bolt to your dirty bars.

Cheers! Will look into them today.

I persume the aftermarket gauges are pretty much on a 'plug & play' set up?
