Default Carb syncing

i know there are several threads on this already but i couldnt find what i needed. i have seen all the how to's of carb syncing, like the tube with liquid in it, etc. i just bought my bike, and was wondering, could i check the sync by simply sticking a vaccum guage on the ports one at a time and seeing the readings? or am i missing something. it has supertrapp pipes, but im not sure if it was jetted/tuned.

thanks

Technically, it could be done with one gauge. However it would be a really tedious job connecting and disconnecting the hoses from one to another. Carburetor synchronizing is one of those things that you do to fine tune your bike to help it perform at it optimum. It's not something that you'd do to make a really crappy running bike run significantly better. It's one of the last things that you do along with cleaning your carburetors, replacing filters, adjusting your valves and what not. I hope this sheds a little light on the old sync thing.

Cool

I agree, carb sycnkn'g is part of the process not the process, you should clean your carbs, if you don't do any of the other steps to provide a service on your bike, cleaning them is first!

If you don't have the experience I am sure a shop is local., If you a diy guy get a manual and go at it, take your time and get all the tools you will need assembly first as well
