Hi after a car bumped my bike (CBR250RR, 1996)and Both the Clutch and brake leaver snapped. I have replaced both leavers.

I cant seem to start the bike in gear anymore

When the stand is up and i am in neutral. It starts fine. bike rides smoothly.

But when in say 1st gear. clutch lever pulled in, and the stand is up, the bike wont start. startermotor doesnt turn over. no sound what so ever.

once in neutral its fine.

If i disconnect the wires to the clutch swith it still wont start but will start in Neutral.

The "clutch switch" seems to be still intacted and working? Current is passing through the wires. When switch is closed there is no current but when swtich is open there is current. Does anyone know what Ohms the switch is?


Any ideas?

 

probably the clutch safety switch is malfunctioning.

 

Pulle your clutch and then come out of gear and the start it.
