Default Can't open my trunk after cutting fairing!?

I decided to get rid of the ugly mud flap and cut my rear fairing up to the bottom of the key hole. I made sure not to cut the key or anything around it (atleast an inch away from anything to do with the key). now when I turn the key nothing happens to open the trunk lever. I have no idea how to get in there and fix this. help would be great!

I'll try to post pics in a little bit.

Remove front seat. Take hanger & slip it thru to the lock cable. Pull it & it should release the rear seat.

First get the seat off and then worry about how to fix it =) Could just be something stupid, but you wont know till you get in there.

I was able to take off the whole undertray underneath the seats and found the lock cable had slipped out of the braket that keeps the cable tight. ( I know not the best description). But fixed that and I'm much happier about the look of my rear fender now. Eventually I'll get a hot bodies undertail or something similar. Thanks all!

Yeah, that happens. ;-) Glad you got it undone. Take a small ziptie & secure it & it shouldn't happen again.
