cant get throttle cables on
i had to replace my twist throttle because it was broken. now i cant get the cables back into the new twist throttle. anyway to make more slack? or a short cut to doing it ? its on a 96 cbr. all help is appreciated
On the F4 there is a threaded part by the twist grip on one of the cables. If you haven't already, tighten it down - it will shorten the length of the cable... giving you more slack. If that doesn't give you enough slack you'll have to go and loosen it under the tank. If that is the case, whoever did it last time didn't set it up nicely.
You should be able to get one side on, twist the throttle the other way firmly - then hook the other side on. I think on the F4 you had to do the front side first.
It is frustrating, but don't force it too much as you can break the plastic clips (i did a long time ago)

Its just a matter of following the right route. These are not complete but should give you a bit of a heads up. I'll have another go at trying find some with a bit more detail, no promises now.
