lol k if u are using spray can primer, do not load it on do a light coat let it dry up a bit and do it again and again. one big coat is asking for trouble it is also a good idea to to lightly sand between coats too.. Helps each coat bond better to the last coat . once it is primed and very dry . sand it with 600 sandpaper , i do it wet with water especially if your using dpray cans. then go to paint , as far as tips for spraying paint cans well youll have to figure that out on ur own if u get runs or other stuff in the paint just let it dry till next day wet sand it and try again, any other stuff u may wanna know is still in this thread somewhere have fun good luck
i use a product called plastic welder, made by devcon, u can pick it up at your locak walmart, it's like a 2 part epoxy, just mix it up, and apply it, then sand it sooth, holds real well to abs plastic
ORIGINAL: Vermino
hey i got a question about drops.. what happens when you get get some deep scratches in the fairings? just bondo it? because i dont know how plastic really works, I usually work with metal...

hahahaha and the age old question , how much money u wanna spend , i have some guns that are over 1000 dollars a piece and are built just to spray a certain type of clear , or base , and some guns for certain temperatures , and a good devilbiss compressor will run u about 5000 dollars dual piston 4 stroke , then u will need a air dryer , thats aprox. 1500 and then a decissant air cleaner and whirlwind partical cleaner for the airline when it gets to the booth that will run u about 1300 , then u will want a 3/4 inch diameter airline , it atomizes ur air better especially for a good finish with a hvlp or rp paint gun, thaose airlines are about 4 dollars a foot , grand total 8,700 dollars b4 you buy your ailine or supplies hahahahahaha
option 2 take it to professional shop , pay the guy what he wants to do it properly with all his years of experience and expensive tools he bought , and save your self the headache and hassle of tryin to do it your self and acomplish the finish doing soemthing u have no idea doing

I AM going to paint my bike myslef, so what would be the best route to go if i was going to get the equipment.
