I will be taking my front end off soon. Can anyone recommend a jack type?

Also, has anyone ever heard of bending a triple tree but not the forks, or vice-versa?

as for bending the triples but not the forks...hmmm...i would expect the forks to give first...but i suppose it IS possible...but not very probable...

 

When I take off my forks/wheel I use a motorcycle jack under the exhaust, or the oil pan if the exhaust is off. Got mine from checker for like $50, had to assemble it and everything, but it's held up great.

It's nice and wide, and rubber padded, seems to distribute weight well.

 

duh...yea you'll need to support elswhere or else you won't ever get the bottom triple off....muahahha...my bad...

as rabbit said...you can support from the exhaust or pan, but if you have aftermarket headers (f/s) don't support by the pipes!
