Default can anyone help me diag the charging system on a 93 900rr?

stator checks out ok, no opens in it.
just bought and installed new regulator. some burn marks on one of the yellow leads.
still not charging!
max voltage was 12.96 @ 4,000 rpm's.

i do not have a fsm. anyone have one they want to sell?
what wire charges the battery?
the fuse in the starter solonoid was good.
does that send current to the battery?
this bike is a electrical nightmare!

when you checked your stator, you said there were no opens. but they all need to be the same resistance across all three leads. with the 3 leads, measure 1 and 3, 1 and 2, 2 and 3. those should all be the same resistance. Im not positive on that bike, but I think it should be around .6 ohms of resistance. But generally, if the stator fails, one of the sets you measure will be way out compared to the other two.

with the burnt wire leading to your rectifier, make sure its still good. Sometimes, they can burn internally and will no longer transmit the voltage. the burnt wire is actually a common thing that happens when the rectifier gives out.
