Angry PLEASE HELP!!!!! Something to do with the charging system..!

Just recently bought a 91 honda cbr1000f hurricane with 64k miles from this guy.. He rarly drove it and once in awhile he would. But he started it fine and i test drove it fine, took it home and the following day, went to start it and wouldn't start! Battery died so i jumped it. Started right up. Drove it around then turned it off then tried to start it back up and dead battery... Trickled charged the battery and the bad spark plug, no problem for about 2 weeks.. Driving home then pulled in the driveway and the bike strarted bogging down like it was getting no gas. Tried to start it and weak battery.. Jumped it and started right up...Turned it off and tried starting again, like the battery was dead again... Havent tested with ohm meter yet. Heard it could be a number of things. bad stator, r/r, alt, fuel pump relay, ect.. Any ideas?

Most likely culprit is bad regulator/rectifier, bad battery, or both.
You can rule out the fuel pump/FPR because your bike doesn't have one.
Plus, your battery wouldn't be going dead because of a fuel issue anyway.

First, I would check all the connections to your r/r and check your battery's water levels. Many times the faulty r/r will cook the battery and sometimes connections. Also check your voltage when the bike is above 3k rpms and see if it's getting good charging voltage.

Also download a manual if you haven't already. It can be found HERE.

Sounds like the regulator/rectifier is bad. Get your meter out, start your bike, place the leads on the battery posts ( pos to pos, neg to neg). At idle, you should see about 13 volts. Increase the rpms to 5000. You should see an increase in voltage to about 14.5. If you don't get these volts, replace the r/r. Also, be sure to have a fully charged battery, check all battery connections, and the wires and connections from the r/r to the stator, looking for burnt wires or melted connectors.
