Hey guys, I am looking at an 04 F4i....its a California bike. Can you guys tell me what exactly is different between this bike and a non Cali bike? Can you take off the emmissions mods without too much trouble or is it going to screw up the computer etc or anything else?

Its in awsome shape has about 5200 miles on it and he is asking 5K and I think I can get him to sell for $4500

I think the only difference is an evap canister. Possibly a catalytic converter too, but I know the '06's have a cat too, don't know about the older ones.

 

As long as its not a long term problem regarding maintainence and whatnot, I am not too worried about it. Does putting an slip on and K&N filter still help these bikes or does the computer retard performance? I am sure I will get a power commander or whatever they are called anyway.

Any thoughts on the price? $4500 good for this bike/time of year?
