i am not an expert on bike repair but i know my cars so if i am thinking straight and there are only two wires there then it would only make sence for the kickstand to either connect the two wires or disconnect the two wires so try that..... let me know how it turns out...

The stand either closes or opens the circuit, as mentioned above. Looping it should do the trick. If not, disconnect it totally.

On my 929, the sidestand closes the circuit when it's up. I added a two wire plug connector inline with the wires going to the sidestand. Then I created a jumper plug to plug into that connector, which I use whenever I am running without the sidestand. The jumper plug has the two wires soldered together. Plugging it in simulates having the sidestand mounted and in the up position.
