Default Brake Switch on Handlebar

Hey Guys,

I have a 1993 CBR 600 F2. I've had issues with my Headlight going in and out.

After spending countless hours dismantling this thing and checking wires, we finally figured out that there is a loose wire going into a small "thing" on the bottom of my right handle-bar. All I have to do is move it around and the headlight will go on.

I need to order one of these but I'm really not sure what it's called. At the recommendation of someone I know, I tried searching for a Brake Switch -- but all I found on Ebay were "read" switches that didn't look anything like this. Do I need to replace the entire starter assembly to fix replace this part?

Also, would there be an easier way to fix it?

Thanks!

The F2 and F3's are similar when it comes to the switches located on the clip-on's. Rear through this thread, I think it will help you in fixing your problem. The headlights power is routed through the Starter Switch and the solder joints are prone to breaking loose.

Hey, I finally got around to pulling that box apart. You were right, that wire just needed re-soldering. Thanks a lot!

Better late than never I guess... glad it's fixed.
