BMC Air Filters...Spark Plugs? help :S
Hey guys, I have an 03 600 RR, and I just went over the 10,200 mile mark. Im looking to get a new air filter, and I hear BMC is THE filter to get for bikes. Which filter do i get, and where can I get it.
Also, since im over the 10 grand mark... where do you guys get your plugs, and which plugs?
Thanks for any help,
Chris

That's where I got mine. NGK Iridium. I doubt at 10K you need them, but feel free. As far as filter, I wouldnt know about he BMC as I run a K&N and I like it. You probably arent going to notice a difference if that's why you're doing it. Same with the plugs. But for general maint reasons, either is probably fine, and almost assuredly cheaper than OEM.
You can pick up a filter most anywhere on the web. Personally I preffer http://www.kneedraggers.com as I've done alot of business with them over the years and have always been treated right.

thanx a lot gixxereater... i appreciate the words. I know I dont need plugs till like, 16? or 12? either way, id like to do them at the same time as the filter an everything. Ive been riding in some pretty dusty areas throughout my ownership of the bike, so i figured might as well. an if I got that sh** tore apart, might as well do some more maintainence right? hahahah
anyway, thanks alot bro,

Its not like dust storm conditions, not at all. Right now they are doing construction on our street, so riding on that is a bit durtay... and the bike is 3-4 years old.... I think its filtered quite a bit of stuff in its day, especially considering the guy who owned it before was stationed in hawaii for awhile. I would just like to get a new filter and a little more flow, im pretty sure it wont have a problem filtering what comes at it.... im not going 100mph through dust storms, right? :S
thanks for the insight tahoe, you think ill be ok?

you may just get some slight popping but nothing crazy. if it's crazy popping then you'll have to try and get a MAP for the PC3 for RT1 slip on and BMC air filter, if not, the try the K&N one. it's not going to be horrible riding it or anything but it just won't be perfect you know? you'll be fine mang! just put it in and GO!
do you know if the pervious owner dyno tuned it or just downloaded a MAP from the internet?
