ive got an 02 f4i recently it has began to sputter when i hold it an a steady speed give it all its got and it goes and it will idle for ever with no issue but for some reason after about 40 miles of ridding it begins to sputter most the time the fi light does no come on but once in a great while it will sputter so bad the fi light will flash

i just dont understand because id think if it was plugs, coil packs, or even a fuel filter when i get on it it would cause it to sputter even worse i was told to flash the fi code well i put it in service mode and try to pull the fi code the fi light just stays on it doesnt flash anything...........

 

Fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.

 

thats what i thought at first but at 9000 miles fuel pump didnt seem possible turned out to be a loose connection off the battery so anyone who has simular probs start there cuz all the dealers were tellin me it was all sorts of **** mentioned everything exept that and it was something so simple
