Bike wont start help
Ok so I i have just have been having issue after issue with my bike and now im down to the last one, the most important one and i cant figure it out. When i turn my kyle my lights and dash and everything turns on perfectly except the fuel pump. If i take out the engine stop relay and plug a wire directly from the red and white wire to the black wire i can get the fuel pump to turn on and therefore the bike turns on, one problem since im bypassing my relay i can only turn my bike off by removing this wire, i bought a toggle switch from radio shack so i can turn off my bike, which works good. Was hoping someone has some advice on what to check so i can go back to being able to turn off my bike by turn key to off. Things i have already done: reconnected all wires and packed dielectric grease in all connections, checked the relays myself and took them to mechanic to check (they are working correctly), put a new ECU, and charged battery fully. I hope someone knows what is going on, plzz help. Also my bike is a 2005cbr600rr only electrical mod is a speedohealer which i have tried unplugging, didn't make a difference.
Yeah I figured out earlier today that it was the BAS, stupid me along with this prob my headlights and blinkers didn't work so i removed my front fairing and checked wires while doing so I disconnected the RED/WHITE wire that is usually plugged into BAS (My BAS is broken so i have it bypassed) from the green wire(ground). I ended up realizing that my front fairing wasn't grounded so i fixed that but since i didn't complete the circuit (plug the RED/WHITE wire back into the ground) my BAS wasn't being bypassed and my bike wouldn't start. So i connected those wires and now it works good. Only prob now is my speed sensor decided to stop working so i gotta go back and take it apart and look for where i messed that up. Thanks for the help, I didn't give you crucial information (my front fairing wasn't grounded prior to this and i was bypassing my BAS) on my problem and you figured it out. Spent about 8hours messing with my bike Saturday slept on it and figured out what was going on in 10mins, a little sleep helped out a lot
