Hi everyone,

My 2001 CBR600FS / F4 wont start. When i push the start button it tries and tries, but the bike wont kick into life. Fuel, fluids, etc all fine. I've charged the batt too, but still wont kick in to life.

However if i bump her in 2nd then she starts fine, and if i take her for a spin and stop to re-fuel, etc, then she will start again no probs! But, if i leave her for a few hours, then its the same old, turning over but wont kick into life.

I've noticed the red F.I light comes on for 2 secs, then flashes 5 times then goes off for a few secs, then repeats its cycle.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have 93 f-2, my bike is no where near elctronic's of your's, seem's like the blinking lite's are a code??? [&:]but I'am sure one of the other guy's w/ the newer f-4's can help better than me[:@] good luck hope it's a cheap fix

 

Sorry the flash sequence is: once for about 2 secs then 8 quick flashes???
