Bike won't start after PCIII install
I need help. I installed a power commander USBIII and K&N air filter on my CBR1000 RR 2005 last night. I followed the instruction carefully. The procedure was fairly straight forward. I started the bike with the gas tank lifted up to make sure things were connected properly. It fired right up and ran for a couple of minutes before I turned the ignition off. I then lowered the tank and had to push hard on it to line up the screw wholes. Put all the plastic back on and then tried to start it. No luck, lights com on and it cranks but the fuel pump wouldn't pressurize. No sweat, plastic back off, tank lifetd up, connection checked. Everything is in place, but still fuel pump woudn't pressurize and the PCIII has no green light. I discoonected the PCIII and reinserted the factory plugs. Lights turn on and ignition cranks but still no luck pressurizing the fuel pump. I must have connected and disconnected things at least ten time with no success. I am getting quite frustrated and I really would like to avoid the Dealer. Any ideas. Sam
Chances are the PCIII might have been connected wrong and it shorted a fuse. Check all of your fuses. Also check the fuel hoses, one could've been crimped when you pushed down on the tank.
