Default Bike Stands?

I was wandering I want to take both wheels off at the same time.My bike dosen't have a center stand. Is it safe to support the bike from the underneath? (minus fairings)

Default RE: Bike Stands?

the last time i had my bike totally stripped down, and took all the wheels off, i had 2 jack stands supporting underneath each side of the swingarm(rag in between the stand and the swingarm to not scuff/scratch it) more towards the rear of the bike. and i had 2 jack stand's supporting the left and right side engine case covers(stator/clutch). so long as as the engine covers are bolted on sturdy enough you will be fine. if you dont have 4 jack stands, then just use 2 cinderblocks stacked on top of each other sideways with a towel wrapped around the top one to not scratch the swingarm for the rear of the bike and use 2 jack stands on the engine.
