Default Bike Not Stored Properly

So here's the story. I am in the military. What was supposed to be a 4 week training TDY has turned into 6 months, and my 2006 CBR 600F4i has been sitting in a storage facility in Florida since September. I did empty out the gas tank and removed the battery (which was required by the storage place). I cleaned it up really well before leaving and made sure everything had a nice coat of lubrication (chain, sprockets, etc). The tires, however, were not deflated at all. No chance for anyone to get to the bike to do anything to it for me since it went into storage.

Anyone care to speculate on what I might be facing when I get back to Florida in two weeks? I envision getting back to a corroded bike that won't turn over or tires that will explode if I do manage to get the bike started with relatively little hassle. What have you guys seen? What could I be facing? The facility is climate-controlled.

Thanks!

Dave

Considering people up north here have to put their bikes away for 6 months every single year, I think you'll be just fine.

Holy crap, dude you need to get someone over there NOW! Send me your keys and give me the code to the storage facility so I can take care of it. It may take me a few months to get the bike back to you, but at least you'll know it's OK.

LOL, just kidding, your fine. Worst case, you may need new gas, but you already took care of that. Us northerners (hillbilly accent) have to put our bikes away for 4-6 months every year.Checkthe vitalsbefore you ride it and your all set.

Well, as shocking as it might sound, the bike is absolutely perfect. Not a scratch on it, no corrosion on the chain like I feared. Rode it today. First time since September! Life is good!!

I was going to suggest checking the inside of the tank for rust due to the high humidity in FL and the fact that the tank was left empty for that long, just a suggestion!
