Default Bike was laid down over night....

The perfect way to start a monday morning. I go to leave for work this morning to find that my bike was on it's side since I don't know when. Looked like somebody kicked it from the right side and it was laying on it's left side, kick stand still out, and a muddy grassy foot print on the right fairing. There was a puddle of oil on the ground too leaking from the side. I changed my oil just yesterday too... about an hour after I found it laid down, I tried starting it and it cranked for a little bit, but now my bike won't start. It kinda just clicks, any ideas as to what I should do to get it running again? any help would be much appreciated.

You might have drained the battery trying to get her to crank so be prepared to throw it on a charger.

Prolly need to let it stand for a while so the fluids can settle. It's gonna be a bear to get started even then. Full choke, regular presses on the starter and no throttle. Just a couple presses on the starter so it tries to pull gas through the system then take the choke off and let it sit for a min so you don't flood it out. Keep repeating and update on how it went.

It's gonna sound reaaaaally ugly if / when it does start. Let her run, taking off the choke when it sounds like it will stay alive without it. Needs to burn off a lot of crap. Then start looking for ppl with the same size shoe and explain proper bike respect with your large torque wrench

thanks guys for the help. still doesn't seem to be working tho. maybe the battery doesn't have enough juice to crank even tho I had the charger on it. I'll probabaly try to pick up a fresh battery and check to see if the sparks are fouled. hey Kuroshio I saw that you're from Philly. unfortunately I'm in the Plymouth meeting area where this happened.

Before you grab a new battery, grab a voltmeter and see what the charge is on the battery. No sense blowing money when a charge might have done it. Cleaning the plugs is prolly also a good idea before getting a new battery as well.

I'm assuming nothing mechanical was actually damaged when it was pushed. Just she's crying about being left on her side all night long. If that's the case, I don't know how far the mixed fluids could have travelled through the system (or could be just sitting atm). Worse comes to worse you might have to drain, flush and replace all the fluids.

Plymouth meeting isn't that far once my bike quits acting up. Almost took a job out there

sounds like a plan. I'll test the voltage on the battery tomorrow and check the plugs. what should the battery read? sorry for the ?'s. I've actually only had the bike for a couple of weeks and still learning about it.

depending on the year of your bike it may also be a tip sensor, it may just have to be reset

Your bike has hydrolocked. You need to remove the sparkplugs, cover the holes with a rag, and hit the starter button a couple times. That will blow all the oil outta the combustion chamber, and I do mean BLOW it everywhere, hence the rag.
