Bike down :(
Me and my 94 f2 went down last night

I'm ok, little road rash
Besides fairing damage, the metal piece on the end of the right handlebar was bent and the throttle sticks a little bit now. I was wondering what would have to be done to fix that? I'm debating whether i should sell it or fix it. I'm very financially limited so i'm sort of hinting towards selling it but I really want to keep riding.
My question is how much are fairings, how much for a respray, and what needs to be replaced for the throttle sticking and how much? also how much could i get for the bike? It has 23k miles, a Yoshimura exhaust, still runs like a champ besides the throttle sticking a little

well you can get new plastics for the whole bike on ebay for anywhere from a few hundred and up usually but can run into some fitment problems with those cheaper ones just have to play with em or modify a little for fitment. gettin it resprayed at any shop can be done as long as the fairing isnt cracked just have to get them the color code then it would be without graphics which you can get and replace also, have to search around your local shops for the best price prob be damn near the same as buying new plastics from ebay. as for the throttle the slide underneith the grip may have gotten cracked its just plasitic its what lets the throttle twist on the handle, have to check the throttle lines first make sure one didnt get bound up somewhere somehow from it goin down, might have even just shoved the grip further up the handle and the rubber is just hitting starter switch housing which is cuasing it to stick a little, just have to take a good look at everything and diagnose and if you cant figure it out might be worth cutting your grip off to check the slide can always get new grips they are cheap, and if the plastics are just scraped up and the throttle is an easy fix just ride it like that till you can fix it, ive done it and im sure lots of other guys have done it. and the bar end that is messed up might be a pain to get out cause its bent but its just a screw that goes through it into an expander that keeps in the bar, cut it, use an easy out, or maybe you'll be lucky and it will still unscrew with the bent bolt just have to try. and your bike is retail valued at around 1800-1900 thats what a dealership would ask for it, so with the damage you might be looking at like a grand or a little more you would get for it selling it private party (just my opinion). also look at this thread from this forum about painting it yourself without a booth or spray guns and not have it look like a walmart rattle can job if you wanted to have a fun project and tear down the bike and learn some crap lol click below

Thanks man! I was able to unscrew the handlebar piece and i hit the inside of the throttle with some lithium grease and its not sticking anymore
i think I'll ride it like it is until i can afford to get new fairings. I'll check out your rattle can link too, couldnt hurt if im getting new fairings anyways haha. Thanks for the help

Glad your okay. I just had my spill about a week ago.
Check out CBRfairings.com or The Fairing Factory Official Website- Quality First.
They are both very well made and are a great price. There are alot of reviews on them with people who have no fitment issues.
Feel better and be safe.

Thanks man, you too! I was lucky. I was riding at night following someone and they swerved quickly into the road from a turn lane at about 45. I didnt make it in time and hit a median that was painted the same color as the line in the road :/ armored jackets really do help, I only have about an inch of road rash on my hip and thats it. I'm gonna hold off on fairings for awhile until i can afford it, my tires are near bald so that needs to be taken care of ASAP
Fix it, your not going to get wot it's worth like that anyway. fix it up so you can keep riding it & either get the replacement ^^^ plastics or patch it up, sand it back & respray. Even if you get a professional sprayer to do it, you can save heaps by doing all the prep work yourself.
I read that link on painting the other night and if I were in your shoes I would go that route. It looks like you would get very nice results for a couple hundred bucks. If you sell it you will regret it and want another. May as well fix it.
Good to see that you are ok.

if you sell it now in it's current condition, you will get jack. don't worry about the fairings right now, fix the essentials and keep it mechanically perfect. When you have extra cash, paint the fairings or buy online. Glad you are okay!
That's awesome that your okay, and even more awesome that your keeping your bike! If your anything like me you'd be missin' that thing a week after you sell! What even happened?
I was reading the info on your bike and it says integrated tail light turn signals or something like that. What exactly is that?? Sorry to get kinda off topic, but it interests me!
