So i went around town today and looked at a couple shops. One had only one f4i and it was bought as is and needed work done because it was dropped. Then at my second stop I go and they have an 08 that was grey and black and an 09 that was black and green they were both 6500. It felt good when i sat on them and I really liked the seat positions. I really like the seat position of f4is as well especially with the dual seat conversion. They are all over craigslist for ~3500-~4000. Which would be a better first sport bike. I have ridden sport bikes before but never owned one. Im looking for like maintenance requirements, insurance costs and so forth. Thanks in advance.

 

F4i would be somewhat tamer as a first bike. Seating position will be more comfortable, initial price will be cheaper (most likely), insurance should be lower if its an older bike, etc. Both will be tanks maintanence wise....just keep up with scheduled maintanence and both will last forever.

 

Call your insurance and get a quote on both, if they are close get the newer bike. Most sportbikes require similar maintenance. If the f4i suites your pocket book better then that's your bike.
