Default Best way to rattle-can a bike matte black?

I've seen some nice rattle can jobs, and i'd atleast try to attempt to rattle-can my F3 matte black.

Anyone have any suggestions for painting her, either relating to matte painting or just prep and spray all together.

What brands of paint?

Should i clear it with a matte clear?

thanks in advance guys!

I'd at least take some high grit (200-400) sand paper to the desired surface before going to town. And also, don't try and put one thick-*** coat on at one time...go over it with a few coats with hour of dry time in between.

I rattle can'ed my front fender (off an R6) for my F4i. It was pretty scrached up so I just sanded down the entire exteriror surface and then used Bondo touch up filler (comes in a steel tube) to fill in the scrapes and sanded that down after it dried, and then repeated a few times until the whole fender looked smooth when I got it wet. Let it sit an hour to fully dry and then started my flat-black primer painting. Three coats later and some zip-ties and it's on my bike to this day. There, done. Now go out and do it and bring back some pics tp post.

It's been suggested the Krylon Fusion rattle-can is really good. I used some Rustoleum but the paint chips.

[*]Turns a spray can into a spray gun[*]Easier to hold and better control[*]Cleaner to use

Aerosol Spray Trigger.

It will save your thumb if you have a lot of body work to paint.
Also be careful of the paint you use because many of the paints out there do not work with ABS plastic they actually can dissolve it. Just do a search for some paint comapnies that make spray paint for plastic and see whatpaint they recommend. I think Krylon makes a paint for plastic but read up on it to be sure it will work on ABS plastic first.
