Default bad rotor scoring due to backwards brake pads!

so i just bought this bike and had bad scoring on a rotor which was audible so one of the first things i did was order new pads and get it up on stands. to my dismay, it wasnt simply a bad brake pad, it was a nearly new brake pad that the previous owner managed to put in backwards? i mean how much intelligence does it take to put the pad back in the same way it came out?

Apparently, just slightly more than the last guy who worked on it. That's fubar ...but at least you caught it.

Prolly the same mechanic that put matching spacers on the front axle of my bike. I still have 0 clue how the previous owner rode with it like that. Front wheel locked tight the second I torqued the axle bolts down to spec

I love this forum. Take the rotor to a machine shop and have them cut it.

Well said. lol..
That's some good stuff right there!
I wonder if the PO did it all by himself, or if they had help?
"Looks right to me, man!"

Priceless.

Default re: rotor scoring

haha long response time. the rotor really wasnt that bad. i think he let it sit after f%^& it up so badly so it may have just slight warping. i started another thread about possible shake due to that reason. hopefully people will stop doing things like this
