AWARENESS for those with Ignition disable!!!
Hey all-
Installed the Scorpio I-900 about 2 months ago with every option they offered. The ignition disable worked great as well as perimeter warnings and such. I used heat shrink butt connectors to wire the iginition disable under the seat (fuse box kill switch) and figured that would be strong enough.
Now over the past week I have noticed an alarming trend that led me to Honda today. When running hard in any gear near the redline (starting at 13K actually), the FI and HESD light flashed on and IMMEDIATELY all rpm's were gone. The motor was not completely cut off, but that didnt matter...its "troubling" to be running hard in 5th or 6th only to have ALL your motor go away!!!
What Honda techs figured (with running a diagnostic, but the battery died on the PC running the test midstream!) it was a loose connection in the ignition disable that would be causing it. I am going to rework it (solder!) Saturday to see what works.
If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know-
If you have a system with ignition disable or are thinking about putting one on...be aware of making sure the connections are done right!

yeah, when installing anything with an ignition kill you should always solder at least the ignition kill part, and the main power wires. I installed my pagin alarm on my bike and the pager alarm/starter on my truck and soldered all the connections on both.
As you have discovered that extra initial effort pays off big time into the future.
Solder it up my man, butt connectors are good for non essential stuff, but always solder anyway if you have the choice.
