Average temp depends on the out side temp... I ride the same bike and I stay around the 200 range until I stop for traffic, then it's at the 219 range (that's when the fan kicks on).

I also have the same bike. Tonight it was about 45F out and on the freeway mine ran in the 160's. While stopped at the "ride" through ATM it hit 219 making the fan come on. When cruising in stop and go traffic mine fluxuates. It will get down to 174 on a long run between lights and will get up to 219 when stopped waiting for lights.

04 1000rr runs solid at 180. Stop and go it will hit 219 then fan. Funny thing is in the mornings it will hit 189 then it drops down to the high 170's then settles at 180. Keep in mind it has been pretty cool here, about 35-40 deg in the mornings.
