anyone try sticking on vinyl
HAS ANYONE SEEN THE CARBON FIBER VINYL ON EBAY? HAS ANYONE TRIED USING IT ON SOME PART OF THEIR BIKE? MIGHT SOUND CRAZY OR EVEN JUST CHEAP BUT I HAVE AN IDEA. I HAVE A CBR954, I ALSO HAVE A FULL YOSHI EXHAUST, AND THE CAN IS STAINLESS. MY BIKE IS THE TITANIUM AND BLACK VERSION, AND I HAVE AT LEAST TEN CARBONFIBER ACCESSORIES (FOOTPEGS, WINDSCREEN, CHAINGUARDS, SEAT COVERS, AND REAR TIRE HUGGER). SO, DOES ANYONE THINK I COULD LAY THE VINYL OVER MY CAN AND IT SURVIVE THE HEAT?
1. Slow the all-caps roll.
2. I wouldn't bet the vinyl will survive the heat... and the heat WILL make it hard to remove if you change your mind later on. (it tends to shrink when heat is applied).
3. If you've got the titanium exhaust, which is a heck of a slick exhaust, I would see about selling it and getting an actual carbon fiber exhaust if you want the different look.
